Dead Meadow – Tue Feb 5 (8pm) @ Echoplex in Echo Park, LA

Thanks to Flavor Pill I just got hip to these guys about 3 minutes ago, but I like it!  I like Psychedelic Rock as it is and they have an authentic sound.  Check ‘em out.  I might try to get to this one.  I’d love to see them live.

Tue Feb 5 (8pm) @ Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd in Echo ParkLos Angeles-based psychedelic-rock outfit Dead Meadow celebrate the release of a new album and kick off a tour of the US and Europe with a show at Echoplex. Their third Matador release, Old Growth, fuses the dense, hypnotic sound they created for 2003’s Shivering King and Others with rollicking Southern rock and low-key acoustic numbers. The result is a catchy collection of reverberating riffs and jangling melodies. Opening are local indie-pop impresarios Midnight Moviesand the Great Northwest.
