Brasilintime premier TONIGHT at the Hammer Museum. This looks super dope!
From my homies at Flavorpill… This looks dope. Let’s see what else I can dig up on it. A trailer is a good start. Aight.. so I’ve watched the trailer now…. I’m hyped. I’ve been on a Brazilizn, Latin, World music kick lately and this looks like the truth! “Where are the fuckin’ records” .. haha. I love it. Oh shit! That’s today’s date… lol. Guess I know where I’m going tonight. Time to holler at the crew.
Wed Mar 26 (7pm) @ Hammer Museum, 10899 Wilshire Blvd Back in 2002, hip-hop photographer and music-video maestro B+ (aka Brian Cross) introduced LA’s old-school session drummers to a bunch of crate-diving DJs in his film Keepintime. B+ now pairs drummers Paul Humphrey, James Gadson, and Derf Reklaw with DJs Cut Chemist, Babu, J-Rocc, and Madlib and ships them all overseas to the land of samba, where they meet legendary Brazilian musicians João “Comanche” Parahyba, Wilson Das Neves, and Ivan “Mamão” Conti. The resulting Brasilintime is both a fascinating film and a delicious soundtrack of tight drums, whistles, and J Dilla-style beats. A Q&A and live session by B+ and Eric Coleman follow the screening.

Hi Universoul Productions
Just a quick comment as I’ve seen you are a fan of Brazilintime.
Please check out this site http://brazilianbeats.info
Its a site I’ve just finished building to promote the release of Mr Bongo’s classic ‘Brazilian Beats’ series in an 8CD box set, featuring the widest range of modern samba fusions available to date.
Hope this is of interest to you
