Definition of Hip Hop according to Chi-town legends
A bunch of Chicago hip hop legends talk about what hip hop means to them. Common, NO ID, Traxster, Capital D, Rhymefest, Kanye, etc.
In college, I took a philosophy of art class and we went through and tried to define art. We went back to the earliest definitions of it and all the way to the present. At the end of the class you pretty much realized it couldn’t be defined.
I think at the end of the day, they’re both an expression. Hopefully a true and creative expression.
