****J Dilla – “Diamonds” and “Trucks”****

 

Both these songs have been circulating for a few months between very few people.  I’ve seen people post a shitty version of “Trucks” with some dude talking over it, so I figure I’ll share that one.

First time I ever heard “Trucks” was on Houseshoes’ birthday party in LA two years ago.  It was the night before I flew to Detroit were I ironically celebrated Shoes’ bday again.  The funnier part of the story that I don’t mind telling is I blacked out!  I have never blacked out, but after smoking a couple blunts outside, I was talking to my homey Joe.  We were in a deep conversation that I couldn’t get out of.  Joe went on for a bit and my mind really wanted to drift off, but I was trying to pay attention until I forgot to breath and FELL.  I straight fell on my ass with beer still in hand.  Ha.  It was pretty embarrassing, but what can you do…haha.

Now, “Diamonds” has been in the hands of even fewer that I know of and it’s not even on the “MCA album” I have.  I’m quite sure what I have is not an “official” version.  I think that warrants a good enough reason to post “Diamonds.”

I promise you, that is ALL you’re gonna get from me until I get the green light.
